CSFootprints going on vacation!

CSFootprints is going on a mini break! My Etsy shop will close at the end of the day on December 14th. If you've got orders to make, now is the time!

I plan to reopen the shop for a few weeks in January, however, I will no longer have a space to make my jewelry starting February 1st. My fiancee and I are currently looking for a bigger home, so until then, CSFootprints will be on a temporary hiatus.

If you have any special requests, you can contact me at footprintsbycs@gmail.com.

Have an awesome holiday and keep shopping!

Featured in Flare Magazine!

I wanted to share the best news of my life: being featured in FLARE magazine, my ultimate favorite Canadian fashion magazine!
My favorite X Cross Brass ring (seen in my picture below) has been featured on one of the models! Even being mentioned in this magazine is an honor and I have my good old friend Cory to thank for wanting to use my ring for his shoot. I had to hold this news to myself for over two months and could only believe it with my very own eyes when I saw the December 2012 issue of Flare on store stands.

I feel weird being mentioned a few words away from Dior, Lanvin, Marni, etc considering I'm just an engineer who makes jewelry in her apartment studio :S

Oh well.

Holiday gift picks

Can you believe it's almost Christmas? I'm actually making a Christmas gift list which is insane, because I don't even know where October went...

If you are stumped on what to get your friend or lover, these adorable Large and Small Meteorite Sterling Silver rings will definitely add some bling to their everyday outfits. I love them so much because they kind of look edible and are super comfortable to wear.

And lucky for you these will be individually wrapped, all ready to be given as a present. How convenient is that?

You know what I want for X-mas? These awesome Crochet Boot Cuffsin dark gray.

Also, another item in my wish list is this beautiful Himeli:

This Saturday October 27, 2012 I will be at 627 Queen Street West for Showcase Saturday. It's going to be an awesome time to be downtown since it's Halloween weekend but don't forget to pop and check out CSFootprints jewelry. There are a couple of new additions to my collection so come in and cozy up to some latte while browsing through some good old handmade treasures. PS, also this is perfect time to get a head start on Xmas shopping...

Here's a flashback from last weekend...

 Hope to see you!

I've been making alot of rings lately and cannot stop wearing all of them! I wear these interchangeably to work everyday because they are so comfortable and easily mixed together.

On another note, here's a very awesome post from Victoire here.

Showcase Saturday!-Oct 20th

Here's a couple of snapshots from the Showcase Saturday on October 20th at 627 Queen Street West. It was fun meeting everyone along with the other local artists. I especially want to thank my friend Asyera for being my helper for that day~I couldn't have done it alone.
It was kind of bad weather but it was still alot of fun and I definitely can't wait to do it again this Saturday October 27th! That's right, if you missed CSFootprints last weekend, you can find me again this Saturday October 27th. There's alot of jewelry pieces that you haven't seen yet, so make sure to stop by!

You can find more pictures here on 627Queen Street West's Facebook page.

My dad decided to take my boyfriend and I flying at the Ottawa Flying Club last weekend in Ottawa and I got to take some pretty cool photos. I was very impressed with my dad's smooth take off and landing too! It was probably the best time to fly because you could see all the beautiful fall colors from the trees. I can't even describe it in words.
I love visiting Ottawa for one good reason: BRIDGEHEAD vanilla bean soy latte. Heavenly. Enough said.

The process.

How was everyone's long weekend? Mine was pretty great because it was filled with lots of food, lots of family time and great weather.

What's been going on this week? For me, mostly catching up on admin stuff and finishing off a few orders. .
I'm also currently working on a very much delayed custom ring which starts out as a block of solid purple wax. I definitely want to wax carve more often and will probably dedicate more time to create a series of lost wax casted rings/pendants/earrings.
...it's almost ready to be sent of to be casted!

what's up.

What has been going on is tons of stuff. Lucky for Torontonians, I decided to keep selling my jewelry at 627 Queen Street West, probably until Christmas, so if you're around Queen/Bathurst area make sure to take a peek. There will be several Showcase Saturdays in October as well and I plan to be there in person! Here's a chance for me to emerge from behind the scenes and actually speak to customers face to face vs emailing, instagraming, facebooking, tweeting, etc.

Another project that's been keeping me busy is making pieces for my inventory at VICTOIRE in Ottawa~Yes yes! One of my favorite stores while I lived in Ottawa will be fully stocked with CSFootprints Jewelry starting the beginning of October. It's been alot of work because there will be LOTS of goodies for the store.

My favorite part of this months was receiving the most wonderful gift of all~ Remember my post on my lusting over Score and Solder terrariums?  Well I got my very own S&C table dodecahedron!

Sigh. And yes it as and even more beautiful and well made in person. Can't wait to fill it up with some lovely things.

The roll of film.

I'm extremely happy that my roll of film turned out better than expected. I love finding pictures that I took months ago because it allows me to remember and appreciate that specific moment.  For more pics, you can always check out my Flickr.

These pictures were taken with a Nikon F-501 which is now my new best friend since my Canon AT-1 went capoote. There are a couple of shots from my LOMO fisheye as well in the mix.  None of these pics were edited because I think that the beauty of film photography is raw imperfection which makes it perfect for me.

I also realized that if you ask a complete stranger if you can take a picture of their dog, 99.9% of the time they will say yes. I'm not sure who the 0.1% of the population will say no to having their awesome dog photographed, but I'm sure they do exist.

I hope everyone is having a great week! Boo to almost going into October and definitely boo to the cold weather. If you want to keep warm, have you SEEN Scout & Catalogues new fall collection? Totally eyecandying their wool scarves for this chilly weather... This crazy talented woman's gonna make me go broke for realz.
